VoiceWeb successfully completes first year’s deliverables of the EU research project “Machine-Aided Methods for Spoken Dialogue System Enhancement and Customization for Call-Center Applications.” (SpeDial)

VoiceWeb participates to the EU project “Machine-Aided Methods for Spoken Dialogue System Enhancement and Customization for Call-Center Applications” (SpeDial). Apart from VoiceWeb, participants of the program are “Athena Research and Innovation Center in Information”, “Communication and Knowledge Technologies - Technical University of Crete”, “KTH Royal Institute of technology - Kungliga Tekniska Hogskolan”, “Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Lisboa (INESC-ID)” and “NuEcho”.

The objective of the program is to use all the mature technologies and partner’s expertise to provide a service-doctoring platform that will enhance the deployed services of Voice Platforms. The development of the Spedial platform will provide advanced & detailed IVR analytics which will greatly enhance the Speech services:
  • Identify hot-spots in the man-machine communication and automatic suggestions for call-flow structures or recognition enhancements
  • Improve KPIs based on re-prompting statistics
  • Emotion detection and re-prompting based on the caller’s behavior
  • Customize application for specific user populations based on automatic gender and age recognition
The first year review of the project progress will take place in Luxembourg on January 27th, 2015. On January, 26th and 28th, 2015 the 2nd Technical Meeting  will take place to plan the next steps and exchange knowledge among the partners.
